    Default Revolts are to much

Hello, I have been playing many mods, and been trying to find one to my liking. I have found so far the Bare Bones mod as the mod I feel like playing at the moment. Problem is that the Revolts in Spain and in other regions are crazy. Trust me I have done every thing to get them to stop, and I am also trying to play historically, so its kind of impossible with all these revolts.

Is there any file that changes the setting of the revolt risk in the city?

Im pretty sure there is because every mod I have played has a different revolt setting for example I don't have this problem in EB or RG ( but those are not the mods I want to play rite now). I play on hard settingings for all mods, so I know there was no setting diffrence in each one.

On another note, what is the best way to win popularity with the people?

Try get rid of squalor by building sewers and aqueducts and stuff. Also, lower taxes as far as you can. Add garrisons to your cities, and also if any of them are very far away from your capital, move them closer momentarily, then move it away once the place is happier.

Revolts used to be a lot for me to, but then I just stopped building above the basic farms. This lowered the population growth by a significant amount and thus the amount of squalor.

Uncontrolled population growth usually causes revolts... Make sure happiness buildings and garrison can keep up with population. As Doctor said, don't build above lvl. 2 (or even 1 in some cases) farms.

Well that's the thing, I have done all of this, I have even destroyed all buildings too and exterminated each town 4 times, The Population is down to 400 and they are throwing out 2000 men stacks in the town. Like I said I'm trying to play historically so trying to take lower half of Spain from Carthage and having them rebel constantly is ruining my Second Punic War .

I'm trying to look for a file to change it, If there is no file, then I guess the main reason is the culture difference and distant to capital, but even historically this didnt happen in the 2nd Punic war. EB, RS, or RG dosent have this problem.

Is there at least a way to make a trait be permenent to every Roman family member or General, that would give them a huge boost of influence?

try placing good generals in these city's generals with a lot of influence this will keep down the revolts. but if your playing historically you should learn to life with revolts becous this happened a lot in spain and gaul and probebly in the rest of the known world.

Well i just made kind of a cheating trait, but I don't know what file to mess with that will make this cheating trait permanent to any Roman family member or general.

And if you got a satisfying answer there, please post it here too!

I'm really curious wether it is possible in RTW to mod a trait to appear with every general of a certain faction. I know it's possible in M2TW: Kingdoms as all Apache-family members get a trait that improves their movement points.

I will post it soon, But it has something to do with the trigger of the trait. In Bare Bones, the Mithridist trait was the one I edited. I found out the Trigger has a 80 percent chance of a 16 year old getting that trait, So instead of making my own I just made the conversion and Influence of that trait higher, Right now its working really well.
