Weird Gameplay problem
My Rome Total War (Vanilla) is experiencing weird issues.
When I start a new campaign everything is fine, but after like 50 turns or so (I don't think this matters anyway), the game lags. And by lag I mean, slow, fast, slow, fast, slow, fast.
Example: I open up a scroll from the left side of the screen (at the beginning of my turn) and it waits a sec, and then opens really fast.
Battles do the same thing. Units move really slow, and then they run and then are really slow, etc.
I figured it may be a video card problem? But when I played Rome like a year ago it was fine.
Any suggestions?

If you post some information (PC specs, operating system etc) then someone may be able to help.

Video card, you say? Are you experiencing audio lag, also?
If so, I strongly suspect that it is not, in fact, your video card. I think I had a similar problem with M2:TW at one point. I simply ripped my computer apart, cleaned it well, checked the wiring and re-installed both DirectX and my video card drivers. Worked a treat, so it did.

Yes, dust is a PCs worst enemy (after water and other liquids)......
