Extremist Jews in bomb attack against Israeli 'anti-settlement' academic

A well-known Israeli critic of Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank, Zeev Sternhell, has been slightly wounded in a bomb attack.

Police suspect ultra-nationalists Israelis were behind the attack.
Professor Sternhall has also strongly opposed the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip, describing it as immoral and ineffective.
Earlier this year, Professor Sternhall was awarded the prestigious Israel Prize for political science.
Mr Sternhell suffered minor shrapnel wounds in one leg.
Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said several assailants were waiting for Mr Sternhell shortly after midnight on Wednesday outside his home in Jerusalem.
They escaped after throwing a small pipe bomb.
Mr Rosenfeld said police "believe the background [to the attack] is ideological".
Reports say police investigators found posters in Mr Sternhell's neighbourhood offering a reward of $320,000 to anyone who kills a member of Peace Now, an Israeli group that campaigns against settlement building to which the academic belongs.
Mr Sternhell, a Holocaust survivor, is best known for his work on the history of fascism.

Interesting...to those who are content with Islam being the only religion or ideology which attacks people in terrorist fashion...It's a small event with only a pipe bomb but if we add that to this and this.

They are slowly changing and adopting new strategies...could this mean the small humble beginnings of a new front in Israel's war on terror? Palestinian extremists in one corner, Jews in the other, with the small secular republic in the middle?

By the way this proves my earlier points, the Israeli people are decent and good, but it's small extremists like this, and the extremist parties which are in the coalition governments which are the cause of their problems.

First off your source is the BBC, while reliable is known for their anti Israeli Stance, so it would be all to convieniant for them to say OH ITS THE JEWS FIGHITNG JEWS, similar to Fox's "fair and balanced" news approach. There is no evidence insofar that this attack was carried out by jews. Until we have evidence of that Im not gunna throw in my two cents yet...

However I dont deny the existence of extremists on both sides, Im not going to take that next step up and say that the ratio of extremists is anywhere close to equal.
