building barracks

Hi just a question on building or should I say adding new barracks to the building tree. I am involved in a new mod of RTW and want to stretch out the recruiting a bit more to cater for roman reforms, not just marius. any advice welcome. regards magpie.

Well, you can have as many as 9 (you already know that) but there will be an issue with the building browser, as it can only show 1 level per settlement level. How are you going to differentiate between the barracks at the same settlement level? More prerequisites for the higher one? I'm not sure it would fit well, tbh, maybe you can find another way to implement the reforms?

Thanks for your reply Aradan, I was just thinking of imperial legion recruitment, It would have been handy to have a special barracks for them, to get them on the scene around the correct date. regards magpie,

If you are using a script, you can do it with a script. You use a building marker and the negative weapon upgrade trick, and you're good to go.
