I'm going to start a new Grand Campaign as England. But i'm unsure of the quality of England's military in the Late Period. How is their military, overrall, late in the game?
Thank You!

As always... their Longbows are about all you'll need.

Yep. If you had an army of Longbows, You will win.
Other than that they have a good infantry base (mainly DFK and armouredsworsmen) and yes lots of longbows
Oh no the picture of my dog disappeared!
And demi-lancers are aces as well, nice and fast with a hefty charge. Great against the AI but maybe not so good vs people
The late infantry is great, and early/mid is decent too, feudal knights, armored spearmen, light men at arms, no problem there. And the cavalry ain't bad either. And the longbowmen can take on anything, with RAJ (Real Archery and Javelins, it's a submod) they are AMAZING.
The English Military is always good, and with a mix of infantry, longbows, and cavalry, your set to take on pretty much anyone who wants to mess with you. They have VERY strong armies if they all work together. That's how they kicked French butt during the hundred years war and all over the world, powerful armies, not to mention navies.![]()
demi-lancers are very very good because they are faster than most armored horses but have the same charge value (at the cost of defense)
using them against spear units would be suicidal, but any hard-to-kill heavy infantry are toast
england also has good late period gunpowder, if i recall correctly

My tip if you want to find this stuff out for all factions is to select a custom battle in the late era, then you can see exactly what you can and can't select. Profit!
