I would appreciate it if anyone could provide better evidence of this, from a more reputable news source, or something. I've heard rumors about this for a while now, so I looked it up- from what I can see its true, but I don't know.

Anyways, so what do you all think? Is Segregation acceptable if the minorities themselves want it? Is Segregation acceptable if crimes go down and education goes up? Is Segregation acceptable for only non white people? And whats more, if this is allowed to actually happen, does this not give a glaring example of the complete failure of Multiculturalism in Canada, and indeed, can be seen as the start of its death?

Its not a black only school, its just more black culture (or what ever you want to refer to it as) orientated. Anyone can really go there if they like. I can't really comment since I don't know their specific curriculum and the success rate is still unknown.

This is old news, I remember debating against it it at my own high school last year. It was a big thing too, had a televised conference and all that. And even though it's strictly a black-focused school, you won't find any white kids going there, I can guarantee you.

Anyway, I don't agree with it simply because it won't solve the problem. Giving blacks more reasons to compare, and probably dislike, their fellow students isn't a good move. Toronto is supposedly the most multicultural city in Canada, but it isn't really embracing all cultures if they have to create a school just for black kids.

I went to an all white school at one point, it hardly did any of us any major harm or harmed our views to blacks or other races. or spelt the doom of our society in any way oddly enough

I heard about this over here too, totally crap idea. If you have problem with Black schools, then you also got to have problem with every single other minority school, including Jewish ones, Catholic ones, C of E, etc.

No they are in exactly the same group. Minorities. Why do Catholics and Jews need their own isolated schools? Same reasons would apply for anyone.

No, you're still wrong. Black, white, Asian, etc are races, they are born a color and cannot change it, no matter what their beliefs. Jews (again, the religion and not the race), Catholics, and Muslims choose their beliefs.

If someone wants to go to a Catholic school that only accepts Catholics (I don't know if that exists actually), they can go if they become Catholic. If someone wants to go to a whites only school and they are black, there's nothing they can do about it.

Saying race and ideology are the same Is like saying it's alright to have a school only for black people since we have schools that are only for engineers.

Wrong, there are frequent stories of Jewish converts who try to get into Jewish schools, or stories of Parents converting to Judaism trying to get into a good school (Parents are known to convert simply to get their child into a uber-Christian school) only to be turned away because they aren't racially Jewish.

In today's age, being Jewish is far more than a religion. It's touted as a race...thus of the same creed as any Black school. Do you think the Black school would let it someone with a black parent or grand parent? Or would they put their arm against a colour strip?

This doesn't seem right for a public school IMO, tax payers shouldn't have to pay for this kind of stuff.If you think minority X would benefit from segregated schooling then find some other way to fund it like every other "special" school.

Except those schools are private not public as the original link would indicate this one is...though not enough details are given. Besides jewish, catholic, muslim etc are based solely on a religious belief/teaching and not ethinic makeup....vastly different thing there imo. Btw its not like religious schools are limited to belief, there was a jewish student in catholic grade school I attended waaaay back. Never did know why she went there but she would always be absent on jewish holidays and never attended weekly mass.

its not 'blacks only' its basically designed specifically to reduce high rates of drop outs among black students (drop out rates are 40%), in fact its been likened more to a 'special needs school' than it has to segregation. other than that i don't know.

Read your own post. You asked for more evidence yet you were happy to make an instant pronouncement. You have already been floored on the UK sharia law issue by not checking easily verifiable facts. Perhaps some more fact finding is in order here. Jankren probably has the best default position.
