Mods/Fixes for Campaign Map?

I keep searching for something to do about this but I can't seen to find it. I have a widescreen monitor and I'd like to get the grand campaign map to work properly with it, either by letterboxing or true widescreen compatibility, but the stretched version just looks awful.

Anyone know of any mods/patches/fixes that will correct this? It seems like it's been a long time since this game was released for the issue not to have been addressed by somebody, but for the life of me I can't find anything.

i was pretty sure that there was a widescreen option in the option screen... i may be wrong...

There`s widescreen option under video settings/advanced video settings. No mods/patchs/fixes necessary but you could download and install some mods for other reasons-to improve overall gaming experience for example. Most of the mods are far better than vanilla.

yeah check out some mods. thy did a realy nice job on improving the game.
