Battle Tutorial Glitch (Vid Card?)

I installed MTW & Medieval: Total War Viking Invasion v2.01 and in the first tutorial Im supposed to left click at the base of the red flag to have the unit march to it but no amount of clicking can save me from being constantly scolded from the master lol

I had MTW running well on my last PC and its been a while, I dont have the $ for Rome or MTW II, and really need the tutorials and expect further difficulties as this must be the nVidia 8600 GTS and Forcewares Im using.

Skip the tutorial and run a few test campaigns instead. You will learn the game just fine that way as well. If the game won’t run properly go and post your issue at this place:

Same problem here, but it is unfortunately not only applicable to the tutorial but the whole game.

I have played the game for years in my old computer without problems, so it has to be related to the hardware I have here. It is a known issue new generation GPUs have problems with it, but never heard about this bug.

Have you got any solution to the problem?

I'm guessing you have an Nvidia 8xxx series card? If so then you may be out of luck as no one has found a solution to getting MTW running on the 8xxx series. I had this problem with a 7xxx series card and managed to solve it by changing some driver settings and downgrading to an older driver, but those with 8xxx series cards trying those same settings had no luck.
