modding question

I am trying to switch around some units in the battle_models doc. Its for personal consumption only. Specifically, I am trying to switch the graphics between the general and the kataphractoi. It worked out just fine on DLV. But on SV, there are no changes no matter what I do. Thanks.

are you doing this in vista on the c Drive?
If so:
Don't try to copy the new file in the dir .
Open it and "save as" in the vistan folder.
Had the same problem wit the EDU files

I had no idea there was anything MTW2 related on my C drive. I am working off of my D drive. I did "save as" anyways and it didnt work. Is there anything else I can do? All I really want to do is recreate the actual Tagmata and themata. I am not trying to release anything publicly. I just want a few things switched around is all...

please disregard. I made many mistakes. 1st, the graphics had changed on the Kataphracts. I did not realize thier shields had changed. This mod is very very complicated. I didnt know that there are 2 Byzantine general units: 1 that looks like the kataphracts but with eastern kite shields instead of bucklers and the new klibanophorai based off of the osprey model. This opens up alot of possibilities. Thanks SV crew!
