Hey guys I want to share my pain.

About a month ago I ordered a new PC from someone, and it still hasn't arrived, and the guy has also ceased all communications. I am doing a refund thing which will take 10 days to carry out. Once that is finished and I have my money back I am going to get one from a shop or good online retailer.

SO. I have already been waiting for 4 weeks, I now must wait 10 days longer. I soooo want to play this game though as I haven't played it for ages!

I have just been watching loads of gameplay videos and looking at screenshots etc.

Can anyone offer some words of encouragement to help me get through this long and painful wait??

First time I played this game was a straight 10 hours, then three weeks into the game my disk broke. Since it was second-hand, and I couldn't find it anywhere (internet stores being put into the realm of myths then) I had to suffer from a long period of no-rtw.
Then I stumbled on the Eras set, and I immediatly bought it.

Happines, yay!

Bought RTW around 2 years ago,i could play it,but then i had a junk PC so it lagged even on lowest settings with few troops,and hence i couldn't enjoy it good,year later,got a new one so i could enjoy it.

Now i usually spend HOURS at a time,and when i do something else,it seems like the day went fast,lol,its THAT good.

But if you never played Shogun or Medieval before go play it, because these are great games, and you can have tons of fun before you are blinded by new graphic and controls.

Yeah I reckon I MIGHT have a PC by next Monday or Tuesday. Fingers crossed. It's just so frustrating when I read people saying stuff like 'I captured City A but now they are rebelling etc' and it's like yeh I miss that lol!!

Buy the game and read the manual over, that way you start off knowing the game a little more

OMG my PC finally came today but it doesn't work. It says 'DISK BOOT FAILURE INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER' well I insert every disk that came with it but nothing works help?

built your PC yourself, a good gaming pc will cost you between 500-800$ and you will have a NICE machine.

If your not good with computers, buy the parts and ask someone to build it for you.

get a XP or Vista cd with a valid key and load your system from scratch

i'm having the same problem with Mediaval2:total war. as i haven't found the game in any stores in lebanon. and it is just huge to download. so i guess i will playing rome: total war for a long time.

Hey why don't you go to Technomarket or some big shop to buy PC ? Little private dealers and companies are always more expensive. And they can cheat you too. I have bad experience with them.
