Default Annoyed with monotheism in general

The most important thing about me you must know is that I am obsessed with preserving culture. Not nessecarily the bad parts, like so-called "honor killings", but I want all cultures as intact and pure as they possibly can be. Think of all the chapters of our history that have been lost to the sands of time, especially the cultures of the great monolith building peoples of Europe. It is a sad day when concepts and history is lost to humanity, and archaeology can only tell us so much. I say this from an anthropologist's perspective, but I'm betting most of you will agree that culture loss is bad.

Now you may begin to see why I hate Chistianity and Islam in particular. They are the great destroyers of culture, creations of the chaotic Apep (Apophis to most of you). Christianity and Islam should be relegated (for they themselves are culture) to a small eastern part of North America where the native cultures have been lost and where European colonies first took hold, and to Arabia, respectively. With territories surrounding various buildings like mosques and chuches elsewhere, of course. Europe should be restored to it's pagan roots, and what native American cultures can be saved, salvaged. Isreal will of course be preserved with a two-state solution in mind, but drive the rest of the monotheists out of where they have no cultural history.

I also hate concepts that are eroding culture, such as most leftist beliefs, multiculturalism, and hippie-goth-emo-anarchist "culture" (I lump them all into one slime-ridden group).

What I want: a planet of sovereign nations proteced by a neutral "Starfleet Command", if I may use the Trekkie lingo. It will not be as the inneffectual UN or as the culture-eroding EU, but a mediator between nations and a defense against outside threats. I will use the Nation-State model to protect culture, for it is really the only thing that can. Free markets, of course, for they generate the most wealth, but with limits on "buying and selling of culture", such as today's capitalism-gone-out-of-control does. Culture is not a commodity but it is who we are as humans, and a model of what we can achieve.

I simply will never understand those who want to destroy culture and the fascinating information about who we are that comes with it, so if you are one, I suggest you flee my wrath before I get banned for flaming.

I'm a monotheistic Christian, but I know how you feel about eroding cultures. I think Western (American-West European) culture has a lot to do with it too. I agree with you politically (I watch Star Trek too sometimes), but not necessarily with your opinion on relocating the major world religions, I don't think that will happen, and I wouldn't support it anyway (on another note, think of how crowded the eastern United States and Saudi Arabia would be ).

I'm still saddened to see most native cultures (not necessarily religions, but traditions of their society in general) die out, and supplanted by the all too common Western culture, which I believe holds the most corruption now (hint: greed).

What's wrong with Greed? How are Greed and Corruption even remotely linked?

I was just speaking from a traditional moral sense. Greed certainly is not nice, hence it's immorality, right? Right?

Not necessarily. Life is a selfish thing. It's instinct to want the best for yourself and for your own. It's all relative.

I know that greed is unavoidable/inevitable for us all, but it's doing something at the expense of others, and I feel something's unjust about it.

P.S. I haven't seen you around in a while, Patrician. How are you doing?

O believe me, religions don't destroy cultures for they r based on cultures. U see the Muslim women who cover all their body including their faces? this is not religion, this is culture. there are some cultural things and traditions religion can't destroy or replace. I can name a few traditions in my country which is not based on religion, and may even be against the religion itself, but after all these years, religion is still incapable of destroying/replacing such traditions and cultures. It's not like Jesus Christ or Muhammed (PBUT) acted like aliens from another planet. they were living the same culture and traditions the same people around them used to live with a different set of laws and another view of God.

See, religion is just an add on to cultures and traditions. no matter what kind of religion that is. monotheism is not to be blamed.....and after all, a ship, can't be controlled by two commanders. i hope u know wut i mean.

"Egyptians; to the young rebels, and to every one who was killed, bloodied or contributed in the simplest way, what you did has defied any description. you have the world on it's knees gazing at your bravery and determination. you have opened up a new chapter in Egyptian history, one that will be determined by people's love for this country" - an honorable revolutionary,
