The most important thing about me you must know is that I am obsessed with preserving culture. Not nessecarily the bad parts, like so-called "honor killings", but I want all cultures as intact and pure as they possibly can be. Think of all the chapters of our history that have been lost to the sands of time, especially the cultures of the great monolith building peoples of Europe. It is a sad day when concepts and history is lost to humanity, and archaeology can only tell us so much. I say this from an anthropologist's perspective, but I'm betting most of you will agree that culture loss is bad.
Now you may begin to see why I hate Chistianity and Islam in particular. They are the great destroyers of culture, creations of the chaotic Apep (Apophis to most of you). Christianity and Islam should be relegated (for they themselves are culture) to a small eastern part of North America where the native cultures have been lost and where European colonies first took hold, and to Arabia, respectively. With territories surrounding various buildings like mosques and chuches elsewhere, of course. Europe should be restored to it's pagan roots, and what native American cultures can be saved, salvaged. Isreal will of course be preserved with a two-state solution in mind, but drive the rest of the monotheists out of where they have no cultural history.
I also hate concepts that are eroding culture, such as most leftist beliefs, multiculturalism, and hippie-goth-emo-anarchist "culture" (I lump them all into one slime-ridden group).
What I want: a planet of sovereign nations proteced by a neutral "Starfleet Command", if I may use the Trekkie lingo. It will not be as the inneffectual UN or as the culture-eroding EU, but a mediator between nations and a defense against outside threats. I will use the Nation-State model to protect culture, for it is really the only thing that can. Free markets, of course, for they generate the most wealth, but with limits on "buying and selling of culture", such as today's capitalism-gone-out-of-control does. Culture is not a commodity but it is who we are as humans, and a model of what we can achieve.
I simply will never understand those who want to destroy culture and the fascinating information about who we are that comes with it, so if you are one, I suggest you flee my wrath before I get banned for flaming.![]()
