hey all, no i have not been playing Rome total war but I do remember having this problem before my computer conked out:

I was playing as the GCS and it was the first few turns. as you all know, TSE goes to war to the yellow people. Most people would have gone "ah well, shucks to be them!" well....

I said to myself, "hmmm...what would happen if i help TSE?" well, this is what happens.

I sent a diplomat to say "hey dude, why don't you let us help you with your problem capice?" and they accepted. I quickly formed 3 stacks (by spamming units from all my settlements

) in just a few turns and then sent them to the yellow dogs with my brand new navy!

after 5 turns of successive victory and conquering the dogs, both TSE and Macedon betrayed me in one single strike. I was so shocked at that i quit the game, and hten my computer broke.

did you do something that wasn't normally done? what happened when you did it?

Thats RTW AI for you. Alliances/helping them out with money or military help is meaningless to the AI. Its the 'total war' factor of the game.

Punching computers can be a bit expensive. Instead of doing that, just get a ball bat and start beating the Hell out of your pillow.

I prefer the "slap upside the head" on the monitor to get your computer thinking. But I had a similar problem when I played as Rome for the first time since downloading this mod. I helped Carthage out, only to be attacked by Carthage and Greece at the same time... I handled it exquisitely thanks to Roman Superiority in battle

Where are all these people coming from? XGM seems to be really popular at the mo - loads of people I've never seen posting in the XGM forum before - maybe DBH will get a modding award next time with all these new recruits.

Well, I have to say, I have just completed a campaign with two allies who were allied since nearly the start, one of whom was right next to my territories. So, while the AI usually does not honor alliances, sometimes, just sometimes, it does.
