First impressions
It is nice to play again this mod!
But.. it's harder than before, indeed!
I found the new choices of splitting more the economic tree quite challenging. Of course the little factions pay a lot from that, but I think this is somehow historical.
Maybe the market rights/ stronghold rights are a bit expensive to gain if you start with the Kingdom of Jerusalem, Latin Empire, Venice, Genoa, Serbia and so on.
Starting in High Era is quite hard for those factions, your money comes to zero in no time
Maybe some cities should be boosted with populations and buildings from early already built!
and trade routes already present.
I haven't played Darkage yet, but I'm sure other eras need some polishment.
Loved the textures and the new skin for feudal sergeants!
If you can manage to use the main menu from one of Kingdoms campaigns, I've seen that more factions are supported on Custom Battles without editing the text files to control them, it should be a good thing!
I will play some time in the future, since now I have one last exam before getting graduate
And Chiv II does not help studying
Boys, you are the best, but you already knew that!

Re: First impressions
I am playing the Stupor Mundi Campaign (hard/hard) with Sicily and its quite funny! The normans are back!
Their unit-roster is much more interesting than in vanilla AND other mods, their starting position offers manifold opportunities, religion is playing a role, too (christianizing the multi-ethnic provinces of Sicily).
I've mentioned some things that probably need to be corrected:
- mass-routing of levy-units(okay, they are weak, but THATweak?)
- heretics are too difficult to eliminate
- some graphical improvements would be nice
But theres still one element of this mod which I like to praise:
The performance.
