yet another problem with rome total war

i recently purchased the Total War- Eras pack. shogun and medieval work just fine, but i have been having trouble with rome- total war and it's expansions.

every time i run rome or its expansions, the opening loading screen appears with a garbled bottom half, made up of green and purple chopped up images from the loading screen. from there on, starting with the opening cut scene, there is a flashing yellow bar that covers at least 3 quarters of the screen.

the flashing screen usually goes away after i minimize and reopen rome.

however, on top of this, when i try to run a new campaign or a custom battle, the game locks up after the loading bar reaches about 1/8th of the way complete.

i've installed all the patches with no change.

any similiar issues or solutions?

Give us your error log for it sounds as though it has somthing to do with your resolution. I seen it before on youtube but if i was you i would contact the company.
