Carthage preview?

From what I've heard, when you start out as Carthage you can play as Hannibal... So, I would like to know what Carthage troops do you all have in here?

From memory he has a couple units of elephants, some poeni infantry, some libyan spearmen, some iberian infantry, a few skirmishers and archers, and a couple cavalry.

he has a big ass stack, plus Theophanes is next to him, with some gold chevroned merc's

and you start out with like 2 million denars or something

cause this way AI Carthago is stronger VS human romans

Hey Val, I dont think Carthage starts swimming in so much dough, as I remember from graphs, they have approx. same ammount of money as everyone else, except for SPQR and roman rebel faction, those are really filthy rich...

Soz pirate, but spqr cant really be played as any other faction other than the romans! Your find it too easy as cartage, esp as the AI cannot handle the roman faction with it temple neg bonuses, it wont expand much past italy.
If you want an offical non roman campaign plz post in "that" thread, some of us live in hope 1 day we will get 1!

Carthage has 180,000 to start.

But not all AI factions do.
I believe Armenia starts out with a paltry 6000.

i believe carthage starts whit that amount of money to get them fight romans bether. as thy where a super power in there time and had a lot of money to recruit mercenary s. that is why thy are given such a big amount of money.
