To me some of their policies look quite good, but obviously im wrong, your thoughts?

They're a bit racist. I think they want to *ahem*...'repatriate' every immigrant in the UK. They are essentially a neo-nazi party.
But aren't they racist towards the British peoples benefit? And wouldn't that create more jobs and other things that are becoming hard to find?

Yeah, I guess they are but wanting to kick out every single 'immigrant' (ie everyone who doesn't have white skin) is a lil harsh, not to mention it ain't sending a great message about Britain to the world.
I'm also pretty sure the BNP would scrap democracy if they were elected in.
So? Whole load of issues to consider - what is 'Britishness'? Who is 'British'? It is skin colour? Is it where you were born? Is it how long your family have lived here for?But aren't they racist towards the British peoples benefit?
Oh no that's just silly - not to be rude but I'm a bit tired of this "Immigrant stole my job" nonsense. And wouldn't that create more jobs and other things that are becoming hard to find?
I think they could be the perfect party, if they changed some of their policies, there is alot of things that need changing but some things need to stay
British people, people who can trace their ancestors and they have British ancestors in my opinion, or have to earn it.
The BNP is like a sugar a encrusted nettle leaf, looks nice to eat from the outside but once you bit into it all you find is bitterness. Ask anyone who gives a damn about politics what the first word is when BNP is mentioned and they will think immigrants and deportation.
I don’t have a problem with deporting illegal immigrants (in fact we should be better at it) however just blanket banning all immigration is not only shows a prejudice and bigoted mindset but it’s also dangerous and completely unfeasible. Who will clean the hotels? How will cook your fast food? Who will work in hospitals? Who will do all the crappy jobs we don’t want to do?
The rest of their policies are all more like the older left wing socialist policies, like investing in public services and raising taxes etc, but because there notorious for there anti migrant stance there brushed as far right. They remind me of the trade unions from the 50 and 60’s who had similar attitudes to immigrants coming over hear from India and the West Indies, they thought they were a threat to their members jobs.
The BNP gets more then it's fair share of news coverage and internet forum space. They will never get into power and I hope they never do, as a conservative I hate fascists’ and I hate socialists so really the BNP has now chance with the likes of me.
You mean opening in jobs that the racially and morally superior British wouldn't even think of doing? And wouldn't that create more jobs
Older guy on TWC.
Done with National Service. NOT patriotic. MORE realist. Just gimme cash.
Dishing out cheap shots since 2006.
I don't really have a problem with the BNP excluding their openly racist attitudes. Most of their policies however, are agreeable, or at the very least, aren't that bad.
Thats actually a bit of a stupid fallacy, before there was much immigration guess who did these "lesser" jobs, the natives of course. There's plenty of parts of the country where there are no immigrants at all and there you'll find all the cleaners, maids and McDonalds staff are all British.
As for the BNP, they're just a marginal party, who have brief spurts of support every so often, gaining the odd council seat. They're not a serious political force.
I don't like them, I'd be sent back to Ireland, and I don't really want to go there I like Britain.
The rest of their policies are essientially the best sounding cherry picked from all the other parties to sound the best, however I have no doubt that if they did get into power, we'd end up with Russian 'democracy' and all manner of non-white lynchings. and compulsarary daily mail reading.
Hammer & Sickle - Karacharovo
And I drank it strait down.
the BNP is "committed to stemming and reversing the tide of non-white immigration and to restoring, by legal changes, negotiation and consent the overwhelmingly white makeup of the British population that existed in Britain prior to 1948." The BNP also proposes "firm but voluntary incentives for immigrants and their descendants to return home."
I presume the BNP would also be sending home immigrants from commenwealth nations who have been living here since just after WWII
Their Leader, Nick Griffin, is a particularly fine specimen. He has been quoted as calling the Holocaust, the Holohoax,
"I am well aware that the orthodox opinion is that six million Jews were gassed and cremated and turned into lampshades. Orthodox opinion also once held that the world is flat ... I have reached the conclusion that the 'extermination' tale is a mixture of Allied wartime propaganda, extremely profitable lie, and latter witch-hysteria"
Overall a piece of racist.
You mean like membership into the S.S. during Nazi Germany? Like that?British people, people who can trace their ancestors and they have British ancestors in my opinion, or have to earn it.
Actually, the SS later took everyone. There were whole divisions in the Waffen-SS made up of eastern europeans. And to dispel another myth: The Waffen-SS wasn't the "elite force" they are thought of. They fought with more determination, because they were indoctrinated and had to expect no mercy or quarter if taken prisoner:
"Several divisions are seen by historians as being elite in terms of dedication, notably those with higher proportions of ethnic Germans in them. It is stated by various German military sources (Guderian and Manstein) that when first deployed some of these units were not as combat effective as regular army units." ps: ups, somehow managed to not notice the thread had two more pages... sorry for digging up old post...

Basically the British are not very extremist people. We were one of the only European countries during the 30's-40's who did'nt have any powerful fascist or communist groups close to or in some sort of power, we're not infected with religious fever, we even chopped the Kings head off, then thought better of it and invited his son back.
People are'nt passionate enough about politics to vote for extremist groups.
Besides which, no minor party has the financial muscle or membership to ever challenge our established 3 main political parties.
KASEY@ Thats where parties like the BNP always fall down. they gain some support, then one of their leaders is normally caught on video saying " that Hitler was'nt a bad bloke"
