I started recruiting units that had "desert combat bonus" to cover my cities located around Egypt. Didn't seem to notice any advantage over my normal troops! Do they get less tied? quicker recovery? Or just better attack/def stats?
In the original medieval you really got penalized when using armored troops in deserts, they got tied SO quickly, and eastern units that would never stand a chance in fields/woods could out perform non desert units in a desert.
However I just dont see the same effect in SPQR. Do the bonuses need "tweaking" or just dont work?
