Adding damage to missile units.

I'm wondering if it's possible to add damage to missile units. I'm about to start a HRE campaign but I saw their best archers (I am using RAJ, so english archers do 14 missile attack, other archers between 9 and 12, militia 5) only had 7 missile attack, is it possible to change this easily? I would rather have it at 9 or 10.

yes it should be, also i'm not 100% sure about it as it need some testing,but also projectile line damage offset -1.5 reduce lethality of arrows. It will still kill the same amount of men, but soldiers with higher armor "killed" by arrow have higher chance to survive and be healed after battle (i added it for crossbows and so far it looks that way, just hope its not placebo effect...)

Do I have to do that "unpacking" thing for this to work? Should I backup any files before doing this?
