[Urgent] Quite fatal bug while loading a battle

When it comes to battle, and I want to command it myself, every since and then it occurs that the whole game crashes down, and grabs my whole system to go down with it...

In words: the whole systems vanishes into a bluescreen, half a second later the whole system reboots and Windows tells my "The system is running again after a fatal error has occured..."

I cannot tell what exactly happened, but that's killing my nerves... what's wrong?

I got the "newest" version of RTR Platinum, got Rome TW Vanilla Gold, and installed everything correctly.

This problem occurs not everytime, but in unsteady periods. AND: it occurs since I've installed the "new" version of RTR-Platinum.

So, what to do?

Do you get the same problem with vanilla RTW? It looks like a problem with your video driver.

Nope, this does only occur with RTR Platinum. The old version functioned well, the new one provoces these errors...

on a lower end machine i used to get bluescreens as well. they were all video-card related. update your drivers!

get a new VC? they're not THAT expensive, depending on your budget .... how old is your pc?

It's 3 years old, and it's a notebook... so no new VC

Perhaps try lowering your graphics settings, like the shadows, grass, and such. If that doesn't work, and you can't update your video drivers, then I have no idea.
