Lol, Echo, I do it the same way Somewhere between is also spending time with my girlfriend, lol...Anyway, I DO follow house rules VERY strictly, including destroying all non-roman buildings after succesful conquest, which is sometimes quite annoying. Still, Im deeply convinced in my heart that I will be able to finish it...one day...perhaps...ehm

well, since my game is far for my AAR, i need to write some more, so i get on the same level with my AAR as i am in my game.
i'm not playing anymore until i've reached the same year in writing as in playing

and since i don't write that much anymore, i haven't played in some months

    really bad

yes we got lots of things to do in ower lives. hmmmm but still it takes for ages to make any progress in the game when following the house rules and that' s what makes the game so damn intresting.

I've completed a campaign -- without using cheats -- in Roma Surrectum (it's the only mod where the financial aspects is set up to make that possible).

Roma Surrectum - RS Never worked for me for some reason and thats why I found SPQR!

Somewhere between is also spending time with my girlfriend
I'd have to agree this is one of the few things that is greater than SPQR

RS? well, i think that's different from SPQR TW
i mean, a campaign in SPQR TW is slow, but if you add an AAR to it..... it takes forever

To be honest, I've played through about 76% of SPQR following the House Rules. I conquered all of Iberia(Spain), Greece, Carthage, Macedonia, pushed into France, but left Gallic border provinces between me and the Germans. I was about to push into Egypt, but then I stopped playing because school started. I had about seven legions ready to invade Egypt with about 10 Auxillia legions as back up, and I had a fleet(quarter-half stack) next to almost every Egyptian port. I could have defeated them as I had a very powerful and experienced Post-Marian military. I also had control of the extremely rich Asia-Minor and I was generating huge amounts of cash. Now that I think about it, I think i'll start playing again.
