Random stuff i need help with

Just some general questions that i'd like to get help with
Bugs/odd occurences- I'd like to know if there is a patch or a mod that improves battle gamplay. My specific problems include poor unit pathfinding especially during siege battles, units not attacking when i order them to charge, said units getting into melee, but no attack animation, thus no killing. Musketeers and other gun armed troops attack too slowly. It isn't that they reload slow, but rather that it takes them forever to set up to shoot.

If there is a patch or mod that helps and improves on these issues, but doesn't dramatically change the grand campaign like changing the map, or factions, or who gets what, please post the link here.

I've patched the game to v1.2 and get the same glitches, if there is a fix I'd like to hear it please.

Idk, I hope tw empire will be less buggy. I swear to god if their musketeers shoot as slow as they do in this game im never going to buy another total war game ever.

There are quite a few mods that attempt to fix these sorts of bugs (although any mod you install will have it's own bugs, just hopefully less annoying ones).

The most popular mod seems to be Stainless Steel (although you might not want to install the sub mods BGR and RR if you want something close to the original game).

There are also simple bug/game fix mods, check the mod forums here (it will also depend on if you're running kingdoms as well or not) and see for yourselves.

I think changing the speed of Musketeer shooting can be fixed easily yourself by editing the EDU, again search the mod forums for how to do this or what mod to get.

you know BUYING kingdoms, ( ten quid on the high street) fixes these bugs, as does retrofit mod.

yes kingdoms helped me since they have the patches in them and since I have Dail-up I tend to avoid downloading considering the fact I will have to wait hours and hours so I do not even bother.
