How do you invade Japan??

Just wonder how do you invade Japan as American, Russian, Chinese, British or what else.

I figure out that like invasion of Britain, Japan is always lightening defence; however, you need to defeat their fleet before landing any troop on mainland, and that takes a very long time to achieve since Japan is crazy building ships all time.

My strategy to invade Japan as Nationalist China is rather sneaky and dangerous - I give my Allies the job to destroy IJN and I sneak attack Japanese by landing 30 infantry divisions on northern Japan; after a quick landing I forced crossing into main land and smash all Japanese's troops in pieces.

hehe, I got it easy with the Soviet as the Americans raped Japan. Then I just invaded the home islands and swept over them. Of course, I also conquered all of Europe too, before I got bored.

I built a large fleet (as British, so it was easy enough) and one by one took their island provinces before launching an invasion of their mainland, which was surprisingly ill-defended.
