Stormed Wales last night, the battles were amazing. I have to admit that i lost but this is what has made it such a great mod. With other mods i was still kicking the AI's ass, but the too and frowing of the battles you get in this mod are quite remarkable.

I like the way key points are defended and the way the comp now counterattacks. Ok so it might be down to another mod which has helped, but the whole package just works so well together. I loved King Kong's SS but i have to admit that i have a new honey now.

I agree with the others. Great mod. I love that you can play different era's although it would have been nice to have Burgundy in the renaissance era but one can't have it all.

I'm currently playing the Romans in the dark age era. Managed to get my emperor surrounded and killed in the first battle against the Abbasids. Lost an entire stack.

His heir and brother avenged him by killing the Abbasid faction heir in battle. The Abbasids still control Sis however and have several full stacks againt only a few Roman stacks.

At first I feared the Bulgars but after 10 or 15 years I noticed that they were losing against the Magyars. Later on I fought a battle together with the Bulgars against a Magyar stack at Tarnovo. The Magyars were defeated but still controls the Danube crossing.

As soon as I can scrape enough money together to buy a computer capable of running M2TW and this mod without lagging like I was on a 56K modem, I'm sure I will agree. (if the screenshots and feedback is any indication)

it can run it, but it is a few years old, it belongs to my brother, and it is so full of junk it can't run graphic intensive games well.

I'd like to add my agreement with all the positive sentiments expressed in this thread. This is probably the best mod out there right now, bar none.

Am having a great game currently in the early period as the HRE. Very challenging on the hard level to make the victory conditions. Still don't know if I'll make it and am at 1141, so about 80 years or so to run. I still have to grab some territories from Poland (currently an ally), the Italian territories, as well as those few provinces in the Middle East I have to take. Am on the cusp of taking Jerusalem which should fall to my armies this turn (with the assistance of the Poles who are also besieging). I've had two successive German popes elected, so I sit well with the papacy. Am investing heavily in an assassin/spy network to use to try to get the Polish settlements in Prague and Tarnow to revolt so I can move in and restore order (like a good ally!). Mooohahaha...

This mod is amazing I love the challenge I'v always been a blitzer but cant do it here
really gotta manage your money an I love the Knights in this game they feel more like knights
than other mods I was getting sick of M2TW till this came along

I agree completely with your comment about the knights. I like all the different kinds, too...plus the special development steps for cities, etc...like market rights and stronghold rights, crusader state, etc. Really gives the game a medieval character.

Yeah most mods don't portray as well how a Knight trained from birth would stand out from other soldiers an that you couldnt just field an army full of them and also you gotta love the city an cash management

Another thing I like is having many different kinds of peasant levies that are actually different kinds of units to represent different cultures. You cannot merge or replace the units of one culture from a city of another culture. Very realistic in terms of not being able to integrate soldiers from two different cultural/linguistic backgrounds.
