Post the income of your richest cities here, and your reasons why you think they got so wealthy.

I know a few threads have already been made, but they are more than a year old, and there was a lot of debate on mods that have been used.

So simply put, richest city on VANILLA, and why you think they got to such a wealthy state..

I had Constaninople raking in 7100. I think the reason was for this, is ALL my neighbouring provinces I converted into cities. If any of them were castles, Const. would be losing florins to trade income. I also had trade rights with everyone and was not at war with anyone, so I was able to reap the trade benefits (especially with venice who i'm always generally at war with).

Anyone know how much Const. can get in SS, especially with all the factions bordering the Black Sea?

Believe it or not, it was Vienna at 7000 florins per turn. All those mines, markets, and roads sure add up income wise. Naturally, things were going pretty smoothly with my Holy Roman Empire

Constantinople around 7000, Venice around 6700

Vienna and Venice have a nice little trade route happening. Surprisingly, Venice in my campaign makes around 3000 from land trade - Vienna being it's biggest trading partner.

I had const at 4 or 5k after 20 turns or so on SS, pretty damn nice. Starts at around 3k

So long as I get a city of 1337 gold I can just exit game and bask in my own smugness.

I think my highest was a measly 5.8k.

Here are the best trade cities in my campaign playing as the Danes late in the game

Antioch 9 000 Florins per turn
    Vienna 7 500
    Venice 7 400
    Arthus 6 800
    Stockholm 6 700

I also win 12 000 florins with my Merchants in the new world as I own almost all of it except for 2 cities

Umm my best income was 28237 florins from constantinople, But it was in a Minimod for SS which increased income from Important cities and decresed the income from every thing else.
But the turn after it was besieged and the income dropped to 3000 florins a turn.
But i didn´t take a screenshot and i have uninstaled the minimod becuase it unbalanced the game(think factions like hungary which didn´t have any of those cities)

Stockholm made over 11k in my danish campaign.
Fully build tradehouses and warehouses, and occupying all the baltic provinces.

Just curiously, what are the primary commodities that Stockholm is trading to make such a large income? I thought all Scandinavia had was fish and fur?

Sorry, just really curious to find out what the most valuable cities are in the game, and what provinces have large trading potentials.

Well, I'm not sure about it, but I probably had Venice around 4000 because I always forget to build market upgrades.

And this is kinda relating to this: Once Milan had Calagari (the place on Sardinia) making 666 a turn.
Jon had taken Donal and Benjen’s advice to heart: Sam may be fat and pathetic, but he is still a member of the watch, and one of the few black brothers who isn't a rapist or thief. (out of context, this sounds ridiculously racist)

Haha I remember capturing this with England in my first campaign, it was so heretical that the inquisitor who showed up killed 8/9 of my priests That Island is the home of Satan

8600k out of York once in Vanilla...that with a crappy governor full of traits like "extravangant" and "expensive tastes", and market level in Fairground only. THe rick is: take all ports near the towns you wish to have a good income...if you dominate southern france and spain, northern africa, italy and some parts of the middle east you can get 15+ citys with nearly 9k each easily... Just before winning that campaign, I used process_cq on York and gave the governor better traits, just to see... 12.600 income...too bad the game was over by then...

I'm gonna be slightly different and say that I've had Bruges over 6k (maybe even 6.5K) before.
