Emergency Please Help!

Lo folks, I have a problem that needs immediate help, cos I'm literally hanging on a stuck screen after an epic battle and I'm not sure I'll win if I refight it

Anywho I the battle is close to ending, and I was talking on Teamspeak at the time with the thumb button on the mouse pressed as my push to talk. It's push to talk for Teamspeak, but some sort of free view/camera mode thing in the game apparently, one that removes the mouse pointer. I could live with the two crossed over like that but what's happened now is the battle ended, and I can't get the mouse pointer to reappear for me to click exit. I can get the 'escape' menu up, can't pick anything there, and I can tab through the units fine. The game is not crashed or anything, it's just happily sitting there with the camera locked, so I'm stuck. It's a hell of a topic to find any help with on Google, and it's not really tech support, it's more just a massive noob moment, could anybody help me out please? I just need to know if there's a key to end the battle or get the mouse pointer back, mashing the keys indiscriminately isn't really helping, maybe there's something in the command prompt (which I only just found ) that can help?

If somebody could provide a fix for this it'd be legendary.

That's looking like the most likely cause. I've managed to unpause it, so the enemy have left the field, but without a mouse pointer I still can't get out.

It's not a sort of bug, it's not vanished in that sense, the game is stuck in a free view mode, so the mouse is moving the camera. Thus there's not even blind pointing to be had.

Is there a console command to just end a battle in progress? That should fix it.

Bah. No dice. I managed to get it to run the clock out at 6x speed but nothing changed. Will have to refight. Which I could have done in the time it took. Ah well.

You should have paused it with P and then pressed shift 5 times to get some message about sticky keys or some such (ignore and cancel). You will find that you are at your desktop screen. Bring M2TW back up (from the bottom bar thing) and hopefully your problem would have been fixed.

Nah I was alt-tabbing fine, hence I was able to post. Thanks anyway though. I think I'd just hit an unfortunate bug occurring when in free look and ending the battle. Still I learned a bunch of shortcut keys I wouldn't otherwise have found, and it gives me a chance to try to get a better result against those cheeky Scots.
