Rome and Bi total war problem

Sometime when i install certain mod to unlock all faction, after i install it, i go to the campign or custom game, they either exit me out the game when i click on it or exit me to the main menu, then i have to like reinstall the game and clear the mod, so is there any easy way to solve this issue?

Yes, just edit the file manually - it's a simple thing to do.

A while ago someone else posted that they had done similar to you. I did a compare of the file from the download and the original and there are a lot of changes. I think that download should be removed.

You can edit the file using NotePad which is one of the Microsoft supplied products. It should be on your Windows XP system.

I presume you use Windows XP - you've not posted any information about that.

It's the desc_strat.txt file.

On my set up (Windows XP on my laptop) it's in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\RTW 1.5 RTW bi 1.6 Clean\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

The structure after "RTW 1.5 RTW bi 1.6 Clean" should be the same as on your system.

With Visa a lot depends upon if you've turned off UAC and if you have the install in the "Program Files (x86)" folder. If you have UAC on and the files in that folder then you may not be allowed to write back to that folder.
