Default Modifying the Age of 'coming of age'

Is this possible? I just stick 16 year olds in cities as I do not think that they would be leading Roma's legions, Can you change it from 16 to say 20? :hmmm:

I believe you can emulate it with traits. The idea is to confine the character to the settlement until he turns 20. Something like...

    Code:
    ;------------------------------------------
    Trait FarTooYoung
        Characters family
        Hidden

        Level ATeen
            Description ATeen_desc
            EffectsDescription ATeen_effects_desc
            Threshold 1

            Effect MovementPoints -100

    ;------------------------------------------
    Trait SeasonsOld
        Characters family
         Hidden

        Level Im20plus
             Description Im20plus_desc
             EffectsDescription Im20plus_effects_desc
             Threshold 16 ; assuming 4tpy

    ;------------------------------------------
    Trigger FarTooYoungTrigger
        WhenToTest CharacterComesOfAge

        Affects FarTooYoung 1 Chance 100

    ;------------------------------------------
    Trigger SeasonsOldTrigger
        WhenToTest CharacterTurnStart

        Affects SeasonsOld 1 Chance 100

    ;------------------------------------------
    Trigger OldEnoughTrigger
        WhenToTest CharacterTurnStart

        Condition Trait SeasonsOld = 16

        Affects FarTooYoung -1 Chance 100

Good thinking. Can also make them anti-traits; sometimes the engine doesn't handle negative points well and keeps the effects of the trait that was lost.

Come to think of it, it could even be shortened to a single trait:

    Code:
    ;------------------------------------------
    Trait FarTooYoung
        Characters family
        Hidden

        Level ATeen
        Description ATeen_desc
        EffectsDescription ATeen_effects_desc
        Threshold 1

        Effect MovementPoints -100

        Level Not20Yet
        Description Not20Yet_desc
        EffectsDescription Not20Yet_effects_desc
        Threshold 16

        Effect MovementPoints -100

    ;------------------------------------------
    Trigger FarTooYoungTrigger1
        WhenToTest CharacterComesOfAge

        Affects FarTooYoung 16 Chance 100

    ;------------------------------------------
    Trigger FarTooYoungTrigger2
        WhenToTest CharacterTurnStart

        Condition Trait FarTooYoung > 0

        Affects FarTooYoung -1 Chance 100
I think this would work, but you'll have to test to make sure the effects are removed after the characters turns 20.
