Can't Destroy Factions?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I am having a problem. On both RTW and BI I cannot completely destroy any factions. The game will crash if I take their last city or kill their last general. The mods I have are Fourth Age TW and Arthurian TW. I had uninstalled the game using Add/Remove Programs. I now play BI as opposed to Arthurian, which did not use its own mod folder. But there are still some ATW things like loading screens in the game. I need to be able to destroy factions! Help!

have you tried adding -show_err to your command line?
it'll tell you what the error is when it ctd's

Yeah, try Valerius' idea, and when the error comes up, tell us what it is, and there might a greater chance that we can help fix it.

You could try uninstalling the same way you did before but then deleting the Activision folder, it's worked for me a couple of times but I don't know what the professional opinion of this is

If you're having doubts about how you uninstalled it, doing a complete manual uninstall is a good idea. Its a bit complicated, but just follow the instructions here: http://shoguntotalwar.yuku.com/topic...TW-amp-BI.html

Also, I recommend try another copy if you can find around. Because some copies may have corrupt movie files.

I'm having problems with some RTW cheats...more specifically:

kill_faction is giving me an error.

For example "kill_faction romans_brutii" gives me command not recognised error.

What am I doing wrong?!
