The other thread is about Sarah Palin. This thread is about abstinence only and Sarah Palin is simply a way to express the point.

That point being, abstinence only is for tards, like Palin's little son, and others.

Sarah Palin does favour abstinence only sex education but: (1) That doesn't tell us anything at all about what she teaches to her own children; and (2) Bristol didn't get abstinence only sex education at school. She got comprehensive sex education, including information about contraception, because that was and still is the policy in Alaska.

I believe in abstinence only and you are wrong about Bristol's education. Porn star lib has said she taught abstinence only, bristol went to public school, public schools in the US are required to teach abstinence only. Maybe Alaska spurns the public funds, but I doubt it. So unless Bristol got her sex ed in third grade, it is unlikely she was taught comprehensive sex ed, whatever that is.

I think you are mistaken. There is no national policy on sex education in the US. Turns out I was half wrong as well though - Alaska doesn't have a sex education policy either. Each school district is free to set its own policy. In Anchorage they emphasize abstinence, but also invite Planned Parenthood to come and talk about other stuff like contraception.
