Default On Disabling packaged submods in SS 6.1

Forgive the umpteenth post on this topic. I have searched many posts for an answer to this question but found 10% unsatisfactory answers and 90% 'go search the forums' answers, which I've already been doing for 60 minutes to no avail, mostly thanks to people who know the answer but prefer to glibly give whoever is asking the run-around.

So I've searched the forums, and it would help a lot of people with the same issue that I'm having: I do not wish to use the submods packaged with SS 6.1. When I install 6.1 I un-checked these mods, but they are nonetheless in effect when I play.

How do I avoid installing them, or uninstall / disable them after completing the installation of 6.1, or am I just stuck with 5.1?

I consider that since these mods are pre-packaged with SS, that this is a SS issue. Please do not redirect to another forum, I would like the answer to be here, for everyone to see.

    Thank you.

Does anyone know how to disable the submods after installing them in 6.1?
    Like disabling the supplies mod

Reinstall the SS6.1 Patch without ticking the sub-mods. take notice that you must start a new campaign for the changes to take affect.

I've been having the same issue to an extent, and it appears that there is some general confusion around these boards on what exactly the supply traits are, whether they're a part of SS or a packaged submod. When I installed 6.0 and the 6.1 patch, I made sure to select "disable bygII supply traits", and left "bygIII" untouched, but still ended up with the supply traits (3/4 supplies, troops despondent, fresh foraging, etc). I figured these traits wouldn't be in the game since i disabled them in the installer, but there they were, so I think for the people who keep asking this question, and for people like me that have spent hours searching the forums for exactly what these traits are and how to get rid of them, we need someone to clarify exactly what they are, if they're a part of ss or a mod, and how to disable them if we don't like them.

Did you install any other sub-mods with SS6.1 ? from the sub-mod section ?

i have similar problem there cept im fine with bygs supply/trait system, the thing i tried to disable in the install was how the cavalry spread out all over the place during a fight, while it looks cool its just not for me, however when i installed it was still there, keep in mind this was a second install so im totally positive i disabled it.
so anyway it was still there and i decided to just man-up and live with it, rather than do more reinstalls.
im using a number of submods from submod section, mostly just visual effects.

I was using Crimson Tide, RR, faction crowns, and the text overhaul (which is so riddled with spelling errors I suggest no one use it ever). I'm going to try a fresh SS install today and see if I can't figure it out.

...So I was able to get rid of the traits by following the advice from your first post Cobra. I had to install the 6.1 patch leaving "remove bygII supply traits" unclicked, and then go back afterwards and re-install the 6.1 patch, this time clicking "remove bygII supply traits". After starting a new campaign I was delighted to see the traits gone.

    Thanks

When I first installed SS and the patch I just unticked BGR and ticked Remove bygIII supply traits and it worked fine.
