okay guyz this actualy never happened so there will be no screeneis... sorry lol. i always thought books were more intreaging than movies anyway.

215 bc
it was a nice summer day in the citty of rome.
marcus was lounging around in his villa. he was stationed in capua and his legion keeping the peace. he didnt reely have to do much. just sit around and look the part.
little did he know that a messanger from rome was on the way to meet him in his villa.
OR did he know what the message held. BUT i asure you, this message is inportant. it holds the very fate of Roma herself. his life would never be the same again.

the message contained news of the defeat at cannahe, (spelling?) it also said that the julli must protect rome. AT ALL COSTS.
the message said that hannibal and his lacky where located in the south of italia,
the julii were granted full use of the senates legions and 5000 denerii, he knew what he had to do, he had to defend rome,defeat hannibal and his lackey, onhiolate carthage, and conquer the world.
he ordered vibiuses's legion to ingage hanibal... it was a 3 week march to meet hannibal, he was hoping to suprise him, EPIC FAIL.
hannibal was ready, infact he knew almost as soon as they set off...
when vibius arrived, hannibals army was ready and waiting, elephants and cavalry on the flanks. and speer men in the middle. he knew this was going to be a hard battle. hannibals army had sloughterd many. his had slaughtered few. he and his generals decided that the best fromation would be ,4 hastatii in the front row 4 principeis (spelling) tiarii on the flank (one in the centre for reserve) 4 veleties behind them and equitaes reninforcing the tiarii veterans. he would be positined in the middle of the army to incorage his men.
the battle began.
hannibals army advanced.
the hastatii were ready the veleteis (spelling) were carefully selecting there targets. the elephants would fall under there deadly speers.
the hastatii threw there pilla although this wouldnt help much it killed only a few men.
hannibals infantry charged the extra few yards, but they were held, the hastatii bravely held there line. but they couldnt hold it for long. the principeis charged reinforcing them.
hannibal's elepthents came within skirmishing reech. the veliteis threw there speers through the air.
hannibal saw this and he ordered his elephants to charge the roman line.
at the same time he sent his cavalry out on the roman flanks. the tiarii knew it was there time and ingajed (spelling soz) the enemy cavalry. the equitas snuck around behind them and charged. the cavalry were soon routed. the elephants were still left but they where thew and "attempting" to escape through there own men. oniholating them. untill they were finaly put down by there riders. hannibal in a last ditch effort to brake the roman line charged his own body gaurd right into the hastatis line. vibius saw this and ordered his tiarii to charge to reinforce the line. he knew that it wouldnt hold long. he ordered his tiarii on the flank to atack hannibal's troops on both flanks. the cavalry went behind to kill the enemy archers. who had corsed the romans so much trouble....
they didnt last long and soon started to rout. this left the eqiutais (spelling) to charge from behind. hannibals men knew this battle was lost. hannable has been killed my the tiarii and his body gaurd started to rout. this caused a mass rout and soon all of hannibals army was routing. vibius chased them down. and no one got away. he had killed them all.
hannibal was defeated!
ROMA VICTAR!
but his lackey was still left, marcus knew that vibius's legion couldnt sustain any more losses.
he ordered him to withdraw as far as possible,
it was marcuses time to shine
{i dont no what the starting legion in capua is so im going to make it up...}
after 2 weeks of prepairing he set of with his legion containg 4 hastati 4 princepeis 2 veleties 2 equitas 2 tiarii and his private (and most trusted ), gard -><-he filled the rest of his ranks with mercaneries, these would play a critical part in defeating theopanes's silver mercanery army.
his men were in for a tough fight. they had next to no expeirience. and the carthaginians had ALOT.
marcus filled his ranks with mercenaries.
after 13 days marching his scouts reported that theopanes army was straight ahead.
he put his army into battle formation. still marching...
and ready... theopanes's army came into veiw.
he tenced. his army took position on top of a small hill.
marcus made a rousing speach to his men.
"Men i have won many victories for rome. why change the habbit of a life time today? we'll wipe the floor with these carthiginian dogs! they stand here hoping for a victory. we shall not give it to them. rome's honour and glory rest on your sholders!"
*cheers*
the battle commenced (pfft)
theopanes's army advanced.
the hastati threw there pilla's, tenced swords at the ready.
the carthaginians charged. the hastati ready. forward they looked. ready for the smash of sheilds.
the lines met. the fighting began. the hastati jabbing with there swords of ruged iron. there line was braking under the presure of the carthaginians. there was just to many. marcus ordered his pricipeis to charge.
reinforcing the line.
the carthaginian elephants were moveing towards the flanks. theopanes bodya gaurd charged straight into the mass of romans. the tiarii charged to counter them. hannibals elephants were firing upon the hastati just in range of the veleties. he ordered them out on the flanks to counter the elephants. the tiarii on the flanks ingajed the enemy cavalry. the enemy cavalry gone the tiarii charged into the flanks of the carthaginians. they were beggining to weeken. seeing this marcus ordered his equatais behidn the enemy line. to finish them off. they were soon routing and he chased down _EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM_ victory was his.
ROMA_VICTA!
now that the carthaginian army's were defeated marcus decided to march on taras.
his men where worn out and he decided to wait a few more months. (I.E 1 turn lol)
now his army had rested he rucruited some local men to fill his ranks.
it took 2 weeks to reach taras. he decided to lay seige and to take the settlement.
meen while in the north:
vercingetorix and his army were marching into northen itally. ... ... ... ... ...
(if any one knows the name of the northern legions leader can u tell me so i can put it in the postim a newb i know FTW but for now ill call him jullius for now )
jullius was informed and told to attack and defeat vercingetorix.
