    Default Lord help me, my video & game settings aren't sticking!

    Hi all,

    Sorry but how do I get the video & game setting to "stay put" on B.C.?

    The video settings always default to 1024x568 when I start a new game and I want them on 1158x756 (I just want the video settings on the 1154/1158 option for resolution. Sorry I'm wicked tired.)

    The game settings always default to normal when I start a new game and I want them on large.

    Help!
    Thanks,
    hellas1
    BTW Great Mod, Muy Excellante!

    open the configfixer.bat from your M2TW folder. set your settings and exit. start BC and you'll see that your settings have been retained

    Or you can go in and directly edit the bc.cfg file in the game folder. For instance you can set your res with:
    battle_resolution = 1158 756
    campaign_resolution = 1158 756

    I had this problem. Do you by any chance copy the Medieval 2 folder and create a directory specifically for BC? Because I think what happens is I keeps going back to that old file for the res ect. until you physically edit that cfg file. Its what I had to do.

    Hi all,

    Thanks for you input BUT How do I change those/that specific file?

    The configfixer.bat file open and then it started the game. I had NO chance to change any parameters.

    What about the bc.cfg file? What program do I use to open that with?

    Thank you!

    Open .cfg files in notepad or wordpad.
    If you do have another mod installed in another M2TW directory, like SS or something and that has your settings you could just copy them across.

    use notepad to change the .cfg file.

    the point of the configfixer.bat is that after you started the game, you change the settings as usual and they will be saved!
