arcade style battles
I'd like mto ask if anyone plays with the 'arcade style battles' option? I'm just curious to know how it differs from the default battles setting. On the menu tool tip, it says that arcade battles are 'less realistic' and more 'action orientated'. I just wondered what people's thoughts are about arcade battles and if the option is ever used?

Re: arcade style battles
I don't play with it, but AFAIK, it disables morale and fatigue. It might speed up movement rates as well, I don't remember... Honestly, without morale, it really limits your options and dampens the gameplay. Normal game style is far better.

It also skips the pre-battle deployment stage.

Hi There,
Many thanks for the replies. I tried out the arcade option and found that these comments are correct: no pre-battle deployment and, it seems, faster movement. I'll switch back to 'normal' mode - was just curious to see the difference. Thanks again.
