This question may seem quite strange, but it is the consequence of the non-standard campaign that I'm trying to develop:

In fact, my two factions (spain and moors) have not a real family tree (coded in descr_sm_factions).
In such case I put the faction leader and several named characters, not related by family links to the leader.
At the beginning of the first turn, the game automatically assigns a faction heir, with the trair "apparent heir" (or something like that). How is he chosen? Of course the game makes a wrong choice, as my preferences are different.
In some cases, when the characters are not noblemen (counts, etc) but bishops, or simply rich men, I put no real bodyguard units (general_unit as attibute in EDU), but a list of units with the best cavalry in the first place of the list. However, sometimes the game assigns the bodyguard unit to a different unit, in one case to almughavars and in other case to crusade sergeants. In other cases I solved this problem by giving the first unit in the list 2 exp points, but in these two cases this method did not solve the problem. How can I say the game that one particular unit must be considered as bodyguard of the named character?
