Adding Americas units to Kingdoms

OK, how do I do it, step by step? I'm tearing my hair out here.

Before you ask, yes, I've unpacked files. I've created my mod folder using the mod folder creator utility. No matter what I try, it seems I get an unspecified error every time the battle is supposed to load. I've copied the battle_models wholesale, I've picked out specific units (whether jaguar warriors or dragoons or anything) and tried to put them in. I've copied model/texture files as best I can (but I have no idea what folders to put them in, so normally it's Modfolder\ followed by the same path I got the file from, so like \modfolder\data\unit_models\_units or something).

I've been at this three days now. Help.

There is an error log, mind you. Have a look in the root and look for entries with [error] in the line.

I know. It gives me the unspecified error. Hard to pinpoint something like that

Have a look in the tools and tutorials forum. I have a seen one 'Adding a new unit to a faction' or something like that.

That really does depend on how you set the myMod folder up i over came this problem by copying over the textures and unit text files to my mod folder this saves screwing with originals.
