    Default My byzantium campaign

I'm playing a rise from the dead byzantium campaign.
When all I do is develop Nicosia and Rhodes and then leave the other to rot, and then play to turn 200. At turn 200 I lost all territories, with some gains +ceasefire and get backstabbed diplomacies in which I raize then entire town.

Entire Byzantium is crushed, and at the defense of Nicosia from Spanish who have migrated to Middle East. I lost 75% of my family, now at turn 200 I'm going to go and revive the glory of the former Roman Empire

15 turns in, I own Antioch, Caesarea, Acre, Edessa, and another one of those towns thats by the coast. Also on the other side from Rhodes I own, Nicaea, and Smyrna.

Interesting idea... may I ask why you waited 200 turns to act? How did you survive all that time with only a few settlements with crusades and jihads knocking at your doors?

    M/M

My family line has mixes of Spanish and Polish, however the royal line is from Princess Comnenus.

I survived purely on 2 towns each with about half stack generals. I lost about 10 territories from war, but I also kept invasion away by constant diplomacy and demanding their land for ceasefires and then destroying all their buildings.

No Crusades/Jihad launched on my islands because Egypt is ally and Turks are launching Jihad on constantinople while Milan is crusading on constaninople.

How'd you get them to give you land? You only had two islands... not very threatening.

Yes but with only ~20 generals for upkeep + agents + navy +only 2 towns with crap = a big stockpile of $$$
