DL´d XGM about three months ago. One of the best mods, no doubts.
I enjoyed it very much, but got a nasty bug. It whas the diplomate one, who causes ctd. I even went as far, recruiting massiv amounts of assasins to kill all Seleucid and Ptolo diplomats, but it whas a battle I could not win.

So I turned to the Roma Surrrectum mod, wich also has a nice way, of having hellenistic fractions in the game. But I´d like to play the Seleucids and Ptolo´s again, wichfore XGM is clearly the best.

Now, my questions are:
Is that nasty bug gone?
What major changes came with the latest versions, compared with the latest version of 3 months ago?

Please dont point me to the link. Saw it, but not made much smarter, like can you now play Epirus, Bosporan, Pergamum, SPARTA?

Please dont let this SPARTAn, be left with the Roman dogs of Roma Surrectum.

Thorn777: Yes, the bug that was causing problems in version 5.6 is fixed. The biggest change is the addition of several provincial campaigns (so you can play as Epirus, Syracuse, Massalia, Cyrenaica, Bosporus, Pergamon, or the Galatians). The GCS start has also been changed quite a bit.

Naah, throwing cheap eastern spearman and light cav, together with Syrian archers and heavy cav at them. Going to be a nightmare my self, sending these flies to Hades.:sparta:

Huh, you doubt Greek superiourositty. I throw my allied easterner spearmen as bait, while closing in with light cav=many dead HA. Meanwhile archers shoot other flank, while backed by heavy cav. Soon as HA get to near, my heavy cav steps in, and the archers take care of wats left.
Did it like that in XGM before, worked great. Recruiting Median cav can be helpfull to, but I hold them against Parthia.

Actually, It's better to play as Parthia as they have Cataphracts of all kinds, let me list them for you

Cataphracts , normal
Camel Cataphracts
Cataphract Archers
Camel Cataphract Archers
plus they get companion Cavalry which is spooky when they have that mask.

Simply form shieldwall with hoplites and use arches from all sides. Onagers help as well.
