    Default Mediaeval Weapons

I decided to put this in Twcenter because i though the fans might like to see the answer.

Will the european armies feature weapons such as the characteristic medieval weapons such as the hand-and-a-half sword, morning star, flail, mace and polearms such as the billhook, halberd and glaive? I certainly hope that these slightly less commonly known but just as effective and authentic are included. Plus they look cool.

A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.

A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."

Well they say a pic is worth a 1.000 words. So I'm basically gonna write a novel here:

    To sum it up: probably.

Wow...those things are awesome. Could someone do 3d models from scratch like these one in 3dmark studio? And will these weapons be included in DotS?

They will, and much, much more

Flails are possible, but they require a good bit of animation know-how.

On another note, look what i found

Hey, don't steal my pics, sir.

Edit: Flails are doable, but they would be stiff, ie. no independent chain & head swinging. Fully functional flails require new skeleton (new bone for flail heads), and besides currently having no clue how to do that, I'm not even sure that M2TW engine could handle it.
Would love to make them, though. Hussites & German peasants without 2H flails are just not right.

Weren't flails a little too complicated to be handled by peasants? First they were difficult to make, and second they were just as difficult to master, no?

Peasants, yes, but knights had a few of them.

In fact, flails were developed from farming tools to beat straw or something like that. It was primarily a peasant weapon (like war fork, guisarme, morgenstern, fauchard and the like), however when knights and men-at-arms realised itīs potential to hit enemy even behind shields, they quickly adopted it.

or do you think classic agricultural flail forged with spikes and edges??
Coz i thought that classic one.. hussites used those classic but enhanced with spikes and edges.
That war flail (stick+chain+ball with spikes) was knight weapon

Not rly national lol. But yes, Hussites used a simple farming tool, the flail, enhanced with spikes that were added to it.
So final question? Will you add flails in DotS?
