How do you carry out a clean un-installation of BI? It was buggy so I decided to make a clean installation, but when I tried to un-install it wouldn't work. It said :



So then (foolishly) I uninstalled RTW without BI, and then deleted my entire CA folder.I think the problem may have been caused by lots of mod folders (and no organisation). But even then, after I re-installed Rome, and put the BI disc in, it didn't come up with the option to install, only to play. So, knowing it won't work, I click play, and, sure enough, it doesn't do anything. So I go into Add/Remove programs and try and remove BI, but it comes up with the same error as above in the pic!


What do I do to make sure my PC knows I've uninstalled it?!?!

Have you tried CC-Cleaner yet? It's a nifty freeware utility that cleans up any junk files on your hard drive. I would try it out if I were you

You can't try just forcing an install over the previous one? It's not the best of ideas, but it might just work.

Can you take me through it LC, and say changes that it would be for BI? Cause it's confusing for RTW vanilla

Follow the same steps that it says for Rome, but instead delete only the BI folders.
NOT the RTW FOLDERS, but only the ones that end in BI for their file directory.

yea i have rome gold edition and it NEVER uninstalled properly for me so i always had to use regedit to remove anything to do with it and it seemed to work so im with the above thats your best bet just be carefull

I'm really having trouble, I don't have any of the keys described
