    Default Incompatible Game Data

On MP, like 99% of people have incompatible game data with me, I can only get onto a few battles all of which seem to be Historical. Any ideas?

    EDIT; I'm running RTW 1.5.

When playing RTR VII TIC in MP we found that you need to have the same files as the other opponents (the exception appears to be 'preferences.txt'). This also includes a map.rwm the same as the other players.

There has been a lot of problems getting Roma Surrectum working in MP - many people have tried. I took a copy of a install that I created and installed it on someone else's laptop (so we had the same set of files). It worked!

Many people were claiming that they had a standard install - but the experiment I made proves that there were differences.

I don't think that is down to the version of RTW that is being played. My TIC install was based on a RTW 1.0 (3 CD-ROM) install (patched up to the correct level). There are known differences in installs though. With Roma Surrectum this shows itself with 'butterfly' shields on light cavalry on installs based on RTW 1.0 while an install based on a later disc doesn't have this problem (with the same downloads).
