    @LordJoshy,

    1. Download the 'Kingdoms Grand Campaign Mod Teutonic (updated 22/05/08) below. (689.92 MB)

    VERSION 3 DOWNLOAD LINK

    2. Download the 'Kingdoms Grand Campaign Mod Patch 3.5 (updated 14/09/08)' below. (52.20 MB)

    PATCH 3.5 DOWNLOAD LINK

    3. Next you have to decide if you want to unpack the original Kingdoms files or not. The unpack is quite large (around 6GB if I remember correctly) or installing the graphics fix (recommended unless you intend to do some serious modding of your own).

    4. If you decide not to unpack the game, select the display fix link below and download the zip file. This will allow you to install a graphics fix and is very important that you do so. The mod will not run correctly without this fix!

    Kingdoms_display_fix

    If you do unpack the game, be sure to delete the two geography files after you have unpacked the game, otherwise the battle loading screen will crash. (descr_geography_new.db and descr_geography_new.txt)

    5. Install v3.0 into your M2TW folder (a default path to the factory setting is provided, modify if required).

    6. Install v3.5 patch into M2TW Kingdoms Grand Campaign folder (a default path is provided, change the path if necessary).

    7. Unzip the display fix into your ...\Medieval II Total War\... folder. This should place the shared files in the ...\Medieval II Total War\data\ui\ folder.

    8. Enjoy the mod!

    @LordJoshy,

    I would start again with a fresh install of all files. I know that this is a major job, but it is the only way to be sure.

    Start at the beginning and remove the mod, Kingdoms and M2TW. Install M2TW, Kingdoms, the v1.05 patch for Kingdoms, the v3.0 mod, the v3.4 patch and finally the graphics fix.

    I did not unpack any files and have not had any problems.

    By the way, what operating system are you running? Did you buy a boxed version of M2TW or is it a d2d or Steam version (i.e. downloaded version), is it a gold edition? When you patch Kingdoms to v1.05, make sure you use the correct patch. The patch for Kingdoms to v1.05 is not necessary to run the mod, but may save you some aggravation in the future if it is required or if needed for another mod. (Not to mention vanilla Kingdoms)

    When you say that the city names are all big, could you be more specific? I have my campaign map set up so that the city names are not displayed unless I 'mouse' over them or select them.

    Could you post a screen shot of your 'cities with big names'?

    All you need to do is download the display fix and copy>paste the files into a packed M2TW data file (not sure which one atm) To fix the problem you need to uninstall medieval and KGCM from your system and reinstall everything from stratch, since there is no way to re-pack the files. The issue of the broken display is a common one though, so a quick search in the KGCM forum under the search term "display fix" should point you in the right direction if you cant find it in the bugs or technical threads.

    Hey guys. Thanks for the replys.

    @Stylix - Im running xp. I brought the collectors edition of medieval 2. The one in the big box. I think i will just restart everything. *sigh* It should be worth it though. Just need to find my cds now.... ill try get a screen shot up. Oh by the way, ive got the same thing where you have to go over the cities to see the names. It didnt start that way and im not how to turn it back? how do you make the names reappear? Thanks

    @pwf224 - I did get the display fix and unziped the files and replaced the old ones. The city names and hud still look the same :S Restarting everything looks like my only option :/

    Are you sure you put them into the main medieval folder instead of the KGCM folder?

    Ok i think i know what i did wrong. i wasn't aware that you had to put those files in the main game, not the mod. Ive completely reinstalled med 2 and am doing kingdoms.

    for some reason the crusades campaign wont work :S it wont install. i was wondering if the mod will still work if i don't install crusades???

    @LordJoshy,

    I can't remember off the top of my head how to change the display for the cities or the armies. I am at work now and it will be 9 hrs before I get home. I will check the forum then.

    If anyone else can help, please reply.

    It wont work becuase it draws on some of those files to implement KoJ and Antioch into the game, as well as stone forts and such.

    @LordJoshy,

    The unzipped SD files from the Kingdoms Display fix must go into the following directory SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod\data\ui. NOT THE MAIN GAME FOLDER.
