Questions about Byzantine campaign

Alright, this will be my first time playing as the byzantine empire, but i want to try something that im sure multiple people have tried and had fun with: i want to get the world pissed at me. Thats right: i want crusades, jihads, defending on every front, you know, the good stuff. Now, i have a few questions.

1. If i want to get the world pissed at me (i'd like some time to establish an empire first, remember that) would id be better to start early or late era campaign?

2. What do i do from the start to get the world pised at me so i have to defend against jihads and crusades? is there a certain faction i should attack, order, place, etc.?

Do not sign ANY alliances. Take Sofia and Isparta as soon as you can (by turn 5). Attack the Pope and stay at war with him. Have fun.

Oh, and spend starting cash on Barracks in Constantinople. It's really helpful later on.

Very ambitious, should'nt be to hard.

1. Suicide squad to Rome.
2. Pick on Hungry & Venice.
3. Tear it up with Turks & Eygptians.
4. Insult folks with your diplomats.

The age you pick is on you. Although if you choose late era, you'll have quicker acess to the more advanced units. Oh ya play dread game: kill prisoners, sack, insult. Don't forget to make an AAR of your adventure.

Be despicable
Start lots of wars
Get very large
Build lots of large Orthodox churches
Play on Very Hard

That ought to get the hate started.

Just be yourself, be Byzantine and enemies will come knocking. Don't you worry about that

No alliances.
Attack Hungary, Venice, and Turkey, and maybe the pope as soon as you've cleaned up nearby rebels.
Attack Iconium especially-between owning that and Constantinople you're sure to get a Jihad or two.

thanks a lot guys,i did consider an AAr, but im not sure how good i'd be at it. Also, one more thing: i want the world to gang up on me, so would hard difficulty be better? i hear that they will establish alliances better. any truth to that?
