Default Aversion to most odd numbers - am I the only one?

I had a startling realization as I was driving to work today about the way I manage garrisons in this game, and I'm wondering if this is evidence that I'm, perhaps, slightly deranged.

It really bothers me - in a subconcious way... mostly - to have garrisons that consist of 7, 9, 11, 13, 17, or 19 battallions. Any other number is fine, but if I find that I have one of the above numbers, I will either swap units around from other settlements, train a new battallion (doesn't matter which), or in some cases, disband a battallion.

Am I the only person who does this? Does this mean I'm some sort of neurotic weirdo (okay, I'm not sure I actually want an answer to this second question)? It also bothers me when a battallion is not at full numbers. Even if that battallion is missing 1 troop out of 75, I will always try to get it retrained.

When all my battallions are full, and all my settlements/armies consist of anything other than the "bothersome" numbers, I find that my game feels much more ordered and enjoyable. It feels wierd to actually be getting this out finally....

Order and discipline are best friends of every general.

    i understand 11, 13, 17 ,19 but nine and 15 work fine for me.

Of the "bothersome" numbers, 9 is the most palitable. It's not an oddball prime number like 11 or 13, but it just feels better when I arrive at 10, or shuffle troops around to get it to 8. Any number divisable by 5 is fine, including lovely 15.

And as for Marceror the Mad, all I can say is.... Arrrrrr, give me good orderly numbers or ye'll be swabbin' the deck till mornin'.

9 is the greatest number of all, for it, and only it, when a number is added unto itself be still divisible by itself. No other number can do this. 1,375,845,426 is a 9 number. 9 is beautiful...

    @Tsaries

That may all be well and true, BUT... 9 still makes my line 1 too short, or 1 too long (depending on how you look at it). And while that can be tolerated to some extent, it is better that, we arrive at a number that is less, well... odd.

In all seriousness, it's good to see that there's someone else out there that at least gets where I'm coming from.

Glad to see I am not the only one with an aversion to odd numbers except the most hallowed multiples of five. Although I find myself with a strange almost physical attraction to the number 3.

well number 3 is small, so not such a problem, and also, is a little redish, I see it as a war number

9 is good cause when you add a general, you get perfect half of a full stack.

3 is a fine number. Perhaps it's due to watching the Quest for the Holy Grail too many times. It's certainly better than 2, as that's a pretty small garrison. But I usually move to 4 as soon as I reasonably can.

Lol I'm fine with odd numbers, my garrison forces are usually of odd numbers due to how I build them. Longbows rather then crappy archer militia and levy spears, usually build the spears in one batch of how ever many can be made, with more being made when attack is pending.

Point Blank may be right, I have an obsessive compulsive disorder, do you find yourself touching something with one hand, then having the compulsion to touch it again with your other hand or something of the like?

I think most people prefer even numbers consciously or not. I think we all like symmetry

I don't even notice how many units are in a garrison. However, I don't like the numbers in big units (like I use) companies are made of 45, 90 or 112 men. Why couldn't they be rounded to nice numbers like 50, 100, and 120 or 125?
