Here's a short summary:
A 44 year old male was kidnapped and tortured by 3 men and his former girlfriend (25yrs), in southern Sweden. The torture included being taped to a chair and repeatedly beaten with a crowbar all over the body. Some of his toes were chopped off with an axe. One of his ears was cut off and he was forced to eat parts of it. Candlewax was poured on the wound and he was also burned in the eye with a cigarette. Before leaving him, the perpetrators struck 6 nails into his body - in the knees, elbows and feet.
Pretty shocking eh? Sounds like something out of Saw in my mind.
Luckily the guy survived but he's so mentally wrecked that he is unsure wheter he will testify in the trial. The motif of this barbaric act is still unclear although it obviously appears to be some kind of revenge.
This is the most brutal form of torture that I've ever heard of in modern society, something thats not just out of a movie or an old history book, and I'm just curious if anyone else has heard about this or anything similar, and what their spontaneous reactions are.
