Can anyone please give me an idea of what this mod is like? I am currently playing invasio barborum but have always fancied playing on this mod but never have.

Your question is a bit vague to be answered briefly here (are you familiar with LotR universe?), so perhaps taking a look at the images posted around and reading the stickied FAQ might give you a first clue.
If you can be more specific in your questions, we will be better able to help out.![]()
Your right my question was a bit vague, ive occasionally looked on this section of twcenter. I have a some questions:
It looks good from what i have seen of the pics.
- Is miras tirith look anything like it does in the movie's e.g. when it comes to sieges?
- How many units does each faction have?
- How big is the map + how many settlements?
- Good faction to start with?
- i know you can't compare to any other mods but whats so good about it?
- Will it be compatible with my currents mods on BI (invasio barborum) e.g. will i have to copy and paste the BI data file
No, it is just a Roman city.
The Dwarves, Elves and Dale have approximately 10 units. The other factions have about 15 units, but most have more.
The map size is about half of Middle-earth. And there are more than 70 settlements.
I don't know, I guess it differs with every player, but Harad is the easiest faction to play.
This mod is very well balanced and you won't see many bugs. And almost everything is changed from BI so you really get into the Tolkien feeling.
FATW won't affect any other mod, nor wil it affect BI, so yes it is compatible.
No.

Thanks for that, one other question may or may not be an answer to this one are there plans to produce a version using all of middle earth or is that empire total war mod for the future?
Would you say it is even possible to create minas tirith with the RTW engine?
Not really. It would require dedicated work for at least 1 year to do sth like that and even then the result would be far from satisfying both visually and gameplay-wise. RTW's engine is just not suited to 7-tiered settlements with unbreakable main walls.Custom settlements are not excluded as a possibility for FATW (see Thor the Bassist's work for metw) but they are not a priority as they don't offer anything else than visuals and require a great deal of work.
