    Hello PI-Team,

    your mod is highly appreciated. I think I was the first to download it though I wasn´t the first to play it due to installation issues... lol

    Now I have started several campaigns with Syracuse and I encountered the following problem: When I save my game before a battle I often get a CTD after it´s over. It probably has nothing to do with the faction I play or how the battle ends... lol

    Is this known already and can you fix it?

    Currently having the same problem as Syracuse, normally when i am fighting a poeni army. I have an idea what could be the problem as i remember from previous modding having a similar problem.

    Edit - My problem is actually slightly different to Argris but my suspicion was correct about the problem, Its caused by a missing sprite which is being asked for by Descr_Model_Battle.txt.

    The sprite being asked for doesnt exist and any model using this sprite will ctd at random(usually on battle loading), this is a very hard bug to track because sometimes the game wont crash and then sometimes it will.
    If you want hister i can check dmb for sprite faults and edit it if you like , but i dont know which sprites you would want to use for the model.

    I/d installin klМcodec414f , and has afterwards noticed that menu holds up less. Possible this because of old codecs, but two rollers-films are not started.

    Impossible reproduce. When I their while has deleted from installed plays, and has changed the last set an codecs, play ceased to hold up in menu.
    There is else trouble, plenty of (sorry my bad english) the sprite. It is Necessary their do it. Has Noticed that playing for african Poeni, their there no beside half of the troopses.
    Mr. Gorby, it's hard to understand you If you have a laggy menu then please read the installation instruction where it is explained what you have to do. New sprites for the units haven't been done. And don't say sorry for your English - you will learned it sooner or later


    Minor text bug.
    Shouldn't it be 'Temple' and not 'temple ' in the name of the various temples (export_buildings.txt)?

    Argyri, I think nobody has posted that kind of problem before. Looks like another bug for Luciano to solve.

    When I conquer a settlement, no matter with which faction, I cannot train any military units in my new city... why is that? can I fix it?
    BornIn1991, that's strange - you are the first to report that problem! So you can't train ANY units in newly conquered city or just not your faction units?

    Excellent find Goth! That makes Luciano's job much easier. Yes please do check dmb but please consult Luciano (PM) before changing it.
    It's strange though since Luciano says units don't have sprites - that's also rhe reason why some users report lag on weaker machines.

    Having existing sprites in dmb is still imortant but is very hard to test because dmb calling for a non existant sprite will ctd the game about one in every 5 to 10 battles. therefore when the programmer tests the game it mostly works, the problem only starts to appear when playing a long campaign.
    I remember having this problem a long time ago and it gave me such a headache that i never forgot it
    Found 16 units using the ostrogoth_comitatensis sprite ,4 using a non existant sassanid sprite and 35 using a non existant frank sprite in DMB, I will PM luciano and ask him if he wants me to amend it and what sprite to use in its place or give him the info. It should only take about 1 hour to do.

    I think the rule is it crashes at the second battle in a row, be it custom battles or campaign battles. Never in the first battle. And iirc it crashes at the end of the loading screen. In my experience at least.

    Thanks Florin, I could never work out the pattern of the crashes, only that it happened randomly after about 5 battles.

    I just got a CTD, it was about turn 3-4, Iwas playing italiolae and one of my towns was under seige, I surrounded the enemy force then attacked but just before the battle screen .. BOOM!! It could have been the second battle that turn?

    I haven't had this problem with Etruscans, Senones, Syracusae.

    There's a chance that it is an issue related to a city placed on a wrong teerrain type ...can you tell me what's the attacked settlement?

    well it doesn't have to do with specific cities... When I start a game, it doesn't matter with which faction, I can recruit military units in my starting cities... But when I conquer new cities I can't recruit in my new cities... The cities I conquered, if I had started with them, ofcourse with another faction, I could recruit in them... Sorry if my English is bad, I am Greek...

    I don't think its a bug rather just telling you. Why can i recruit all units since I construct 1st barrack or port? The later ones don't do nothing there just plain moneytaker. I suggest giving them different kinds of units depending the barracks level or, give them experience etc.

    Or this is just beta? Sorry if this has been posted.

    This is just beta since only random buildings are present although Luciano invisioned the recruitment system to be more realistic and I can't agree more with him on this point: all units should be present from the beginning of game since every faction has all types of soldiers - from the richest to the poorest social class as it was historical.
    Don't bother building barracks since they will not change anything. For now the are just placed there until some proper buildings will be done.
