    Modder Type Needed: texture specialist with knowledge in UV-mapping

    Mod Progress: strat-map finished, new units added (but there's still some work to do, new music composed exclusively for AoD2, new building concept. Short: we are on a good way

    In our forum you find several sticked threads with previews.

    about our project:
    The mod is based on RTW+BI+1.6
    It starts in 527AD when Justinian became emperor of the Roman empire.
    The western countries of europe like the Franks and Goths became "dark-age-countries". In the east you see an exhausted Roman Empire and a Persian Empire. This Empire shines a last time in history before it collapsed.

    our intension:
    I rarely saw a mod which reflects in a historical way the Roman army of the very late 5th or 6th century. We want change that and we want offer the player a historical mod of that time.

    details:
    as said above - the strat-map is finished and shows an absolutely new view. perfectly made to simulate the dark age with improved new M2TW textures (better than M2)

    what we need at the moment:
    needed are those who want make the textures for our historical 3D city buildings (battle mode)

    I really need unit makers. Indeed. Nobody came to help us since the last post. :-(

    And I need a guy with experiences concerning the descr_strat. We have to insert now the family names. Perhaps someone will help us with those items.

    Pompey, could you post a progress update in your forum? It's dead there, and I don't like that. I anticipate your mod.

    interesting question. The idea isn't bad.
    But I see some cons. One reason is because you have to change all buildings on the battle field and the 3D city view.
    And I have no guys who can make that.
    With BI we can take 95% of the Vanilla stuff.

    But this questions are off topic here and shoudn't be discussed here. If you have further questions write a pm or come to our Ages of Darkness Thread.

    the first preview is finished and we are proud to show the result. We made a lot of progress in the last weeks.

    ATM: we still need 2 skinners (we have a lot of prepared units, however, those units need a refreshment concerning the 6th century.
    If pssible an additional modeler
    a specialist for familiy trees (descr_strat)
    and a 2D artist who can help us with the mini world maps in the main menue and the radar-map on the strat-map
    we also want include new faction symbols - so, if anybody wants have the job he can start immediately :-)

    I'm looking for a User or 2 with knowlegde about the family tree, esp, someone who can include the new family tree into the game (descr_strat)

    Furthermore everybody is welcome with experiences concerning the building-tree. We want include new buildings (the UIs are finished), however, we have several special building-projects which are top secret.
    Everybody with coding experiences is highly welcome to join my team.

    our faction symbols are completely finished. Due to our high work-load I need somebody who can transfer those symbols to the strat-map banners (located in ...data/banners) as well as for the banners shown on battle-map (tactical view).

    it's pitty. I can't handle those building-texturing stuff. But you guys make definitively the best dark age mod with that big content. I hope you'll find someone.

    pushed.
    we haven't a lack of texture specialists anymore. However, for just 2 guys it is still too much work left.
    Everybody with knowlegde in texturing (including UV mapping) is invited to join our team.
    (of course it is not bad if you have a basic level of knowledge concerning the dark ages/early middle ages - but that's NOT a must)

    We are also thinking about a new project for changing the city- and village-models of the strat map, and finally we want make new stratmap generals and spies etc etc. If you have certain experiences with those items please contact me.
