If he is working on an update there is nothing official and so it is all speculation. LT did say somethign vaguely in one of his posts though. But as far as a SPQR 7 LT needs a new mapper which he dosen't have. But if you do know of someone willing or you can map send LT a PM.
LT said, when 6.4 came out, this will be the last version of SPQR TW.
He called it "the version for veterans, those who have played SPQR TW for a time"
However, a couple of addons were made, and LT said that he would MAYBE do another addon/new version, but he would need a new mapper (and more time) for this.
So the chances are not so likely

I find people asking for new version repeatedly entertaining. I mean, have you already conquered the whole map that you need new version? Or do you miss a single thing, that obviously changes gameplay by hundreds of %, and you soo much need it. Funny, for me, thinking bout starting new campaign for new version, fighting all those battles again - no way!

listen, if you want something extra, just mod it in yourself
LT made this to the way he plays, you can make your own game to the way you play

he removed the arcani because they were historical uncorrect, if you want them, you can mod them back in![]()

i don't think it's very hard to mod an (existing) unit back in
just look in the workshop for a tutorial![]()
you will need some files (cas files and other once) from the vanille version to get them back in and adapt text files.

lol it would be cool if he did make a new version... it would be cool if u could be the senate and give roman factions missions... that would be awesome... and man the super factions addon would be fun... ide just build up my econimic sid of things for like 50 years ^.^ (game time lol) and then go on a killing spree
And what challenge and fun is in that? BEsided AI being complete low IQ player, I think making you giving missions to AI, well, long work. I rather play normal Roman faction and overthrow the Senate, because, according to the mod, you would eventually fight Romans, and from what we saw in others gameplay, you would lose![]()
