Please HELP --- Blinking Textures and Lines

I am new to the Forum and is my first time to post. I am encountering the same problem indicated by "Switz" in his post dated 30 June 2008. I too have been encountering the same blinking textures and lines as he described ---



(image copied from his post). I began to encounter the same after I did a reinstall of the Medieval II Total War using the Gold Edition. I have already did an uninstall-reinstall and the problem crops up after an hour or two in play. I likewise do not have any mods installed. The specs of my pc are as follows ---

Pentium 4 (3.2)
ASUS P5N32 SLI Deluxe Motherboard
1.5G DDR2 Memory
Dual PCI NVIDIA 6800 video cards (in SLI)

How do I resolve said problem? Thank you for your assistance ---

you say the other guys game wasn't modded? I would like to think otherwise as the picture he is using has a modified french banner, and seing as though the player looks as though he is playing as the sicilians I would assume its a mod gone wrong somewhere too. Unless in the gold edition they modified the banner themselves?

So, incase your game was modded previously (I know you said it's not modded now) uninstall completely, delete the saga folder in the c: drive and do a registry clean to make sure any previous mods are gone completely. Then reinstall.

thank you for your reply. I believe that "Switz" was using mods. I attached the same image as the problem I was experiencing was the same as his. As you had correctly indicated, I have not yet used any mods but would surely love to try in the future. I performed an unintall/ reinstall again and the problem still appears in the Britania Campaign. It is weird though that I started the Americas Campaign last night and did not experience said problem (keeping fingers crossed). Is there any other cause for said problem? Again, thanks for the reply.

There might be an issue with your computer's graphics card. Try downloading the latest drivers from nVidia's website, and it should resolve the issue.
