Hi, I have been eagerly looking around the forums for a Scots based mod but I have been unable to find one, SO! I propose an idea.

Though I have to say I am no modder.. more of a historian at the moment, .
Anyway my idea is to make a Mod totally dedicated to the history of the Scottish clans.
Some of you might not know but Scotland was quite busy bee during the old days too.

As some of you might know there is 2 major regions of Scotland being the Highland & the Lowlands but also some clans were in the Midlands.
Now just to give you an idea of how big this project could become, there are roughly around 58 clans in the Highlands alone. Each with their own Clan Tartan (Kilt Colour), Bagpipe songs the works.
So the Highlands alone give a wealth of ideas and references to work with in developing, Each different model of the traditional *highland clansman* as it was called in MTW, could have their own kilt colour etc

Also there is a wealth of historical references that can be used and many historical battles than can be re-created such as the Battle of Red Ford, Battle between Clan Cambell and Clan MacDougall and also Major historic events such as, “The MacDougall’s were supporters of William Wallace and King John I of Scotland but were later driven out by supporters of King Robert I of Scotland during the civil wars in Scotland which formed part of the Wars of Scottish Independence. Two years later and Bruce led an army of three thousand men against the MacDougall’s” etc the list goes on.

So that covers the facts needed to recreate the clans/ historical battles and back stories of each clans are there for the taking.

Now onto the map, Scotland itself is quite small if not joined up with the rest of the UK, But this is easily fixed, Scotland was once chequered with clans all across the Highlands/Lowlands and part of the Midlands which in itself would be quite a challenge to take over being just one of the clans.
To add some spice to it though you could add North Eastern Ireland and the North of England. I suppose two major campaigns can be made from this one being to Unite the Whole of Scotland And keep the English Away or Be the English and suppress the Scots.

Ile stop it there as this could go on for a long time if I wrote everything that I had in mind so for now ile leave it there and wait for any comments and feedbacks you lot might have about my idea.
